Casa Loma College 2027 Tuition Benefit Policy

Casa Loma College offers tuition benefits to eligible students, alumni, employees, and eligible family members who meet the requirements described in this policy. Unless a specific benefit states otherwise, tuition benefits do not cover books, supplies, equipment, licensure fees, or other program-related costs. An individual may receive only one scholarship or tuition benefit at a time. If more than one benefit could apply, the College will apply the single benefit that provides the greatest tuition reduction. All approved tuition benefits will be documented and applied directly to reduce the student’s tuition obligation. Unless otherwise stated, scholarships apply to tuition only and are allocated evenly across the payment periods or terms of the applicable program.

Student Scholarships

Casa Loma College offers scholarship opportunities for certain new students who meet the eligibility criteria set forth below. These scholarships are intended to support eligible students as they continue their academic programs at the College. Meeting the stated eligibility criteria does not guarantee an award unless the scholarship is formally approved and documented by the College. Scholarships listed below apply to students who matriculate into Casa Loma College after January 1, 2027.

Reverend Simmons Grant

The grant has a value of $500 per full-time semester of study, defined as 12 or more semester credits. No grant is available for part-time study. Grants may be awarded to new students who meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Associate of Applied Sciences in Nursing program who hold a current unencumbered license as a Practical or Vocational Nurse.
  2. Physical Therapist Assistant program with at least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Aide.
  3. Associate of Applied Science in Nursing or Physical Therapist Assistant programs who hold a bachelor’s degree.
  4. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Public Administration programs.
  5. Casa Loma College alumni who enter a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.

Clinical Affiliate Scholarship

Employees of clinical affiliates may be eligible for this scholarship. To qualify, the clinical affiliate must have either employed at least one graduate of Casa Loma College or hosted at least two students for externships during the previous 12 months. Eligible students receive a grant with a value of $500 per full-time semester of study, defined as 12 or more semester credits.

To remain eligible for a student scholarship, students must:

  • Remain in good academic, financial, and conduct standing and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. A student whose cumulative grade point average falls below 3.5 will lose the scholarship for one term. If the student’s cumulative grade point average rises above 3.5 after the one-term scholarship loss, the scholarship may be reinstated beginning with the next eligible term, subject to review and formal approval by the College.
  • Be continuously enrolled in the eligible program on a full-time basis.

Additional Conditions

  • Terms with part-time study (less than 12 semester credits) are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • An approved leave of absence pauses the student’s scholarship benefit. The scholarship may resume when the student returns from the approved leave of absence, provided the student remains eligible and resumes full-time enrollment in the eligible program.
  • A student who withdraws from the eligible program permanently loses the scholarship. The scholarship will not be reinstated after withdrawal, even if the student later reapplies, is readmitted, or enrolls in another program, unless a new scholarship is separately authorized in writing by the College.
  • The College does not provide tax advice, and students are responsible for determining any tax consequences of receiving scholarship benefits.
  • Failure to provide requested documents can result in denial, suspension, or removal of the scholarship.
  • A scholarship does not transfer if the student changes programs.
  • Scholarships apply only after approval and are not retroactively applied to prior terms.
  • Scholarships may affect the student’s financial aid package, payment plan, or balance, and the College may adjust aid as required.
  • False, incomplete, or misleading information may result in denial, removal of the scholarship, repayment obligation, and possible student conduct review.
