As a social scientist, Dr. Laura Tadd finds an astrological viewpoint to be an unparalleled tool for helping us heal from our past, reach our potential and conduct fulfilling lives. On the whole, her work centers around healing and personal growth rather than on prediction. Her astrological work is grounded in spiritually centered psychology and uses astrology as a tool for framing, contextualizing, and explaining a person’s character, natural strengths and weaknesses.
Dr. Laura Tadd holds a PhD in Human Science from Saybrook University and a certificate in Psychological Astrology from Astrological Counseling seminars. As an internationally known astrologer, Laura teaches and lectures on astrology in-person and online. In addition to her blog Mythic Sky Astrology, her writing is found in The Mountain Astrologer, Celestial Vibes, and Tatro.com. As an active member of the astrological community, she has sat on retinal and international astrology organizations boards and contributed to the organization of UAC 2018 the largest astrology conveyance in the world.
For years Dr. Tadd has been collecting information about the parent-child relationship within the context of astrology. According to Tadd, “It has been profoundly rewarding to work with adults to understand and heal their relationships with their parents. I believe everyone we meet has something to teach us, and us them. Challenging times are also opportunities for growth. When this can be reframed, as hard as that can sometimes be, life is so much more rewarding. The imprinting that occurs as a child bleeds into other relationships. When that wounding heals, there is a systemic impact on other relationships, in all their many forms.” Dr. Tadd is currently writing a book on astrology as a tool for parenting.
