Why Drinking Water All Day Long Is Not the Best Way to Stay Hydrated
Dehydration is a drag on human performance. It can cause fatigue and sap endurance among athletes, according to a 2018 study in the journal Frontiers in Physiology. Even mild dehydration can interfere with a person’s mood or ability to concentrate.

Water is cheap and healthy. And drinking H2O is an effective way for most people to stay hydrated. The National A
Personality Matters More in Your Job Interview Than You Might Think
The next time you go for a job interview, you should spend time brushing up your personality — not just your skill set.

That’s according to a new joint report from U.S. careers advice site TopInterview and job search platform Resume-Library, which ranked personality among the top three factors most employers look for in new hires.

Austin Houser

From a baseball scholarship to the field of MRI, Austin has discovered a new passion I his life. As a part of cohort MRI 1903, Austin is scheduled to graduate February 2021 when his possibilities become endless. Read more about Austin …

Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in and currently live in San Diego. I have a 3-year-old daughter, Alina, and she is what keeps me going, she is my motivation and my strength to keep pushing and succeed.

I was always on a sports team growing up and I am thankful for my mother who sacrificed so much for me to play sports. As a member on baseball and football teams throughout my life taught me a great amount of discipline. I had a baseball scholarship to Ottawa University in Kansas.

What has been your favorite class so far and why?
My favorite class so far has been cross sectional anatomy. This was class that introduced me to MRI. After this class I knew I was going down the right path with the MRI program.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
People would be surprised to hear that I have never excelled in school. Growing up I was a C/D student and barely scraping by in order to play sports.
What is your plan for after graduation? What type of facility would you like to work in and why?
I plan on working in a hospital environment where I have worked for the past three years. There is never a dull moment in the hospital, working in this environment has opened my mind to so much (like being an MRI tech.)

What advice do you have for incoming students?
I am ready to help others in getting the help they need through imaging. To the incoming students, never doubt yourself!
