IT Specialist I

  • Provide technical assistance to on-site and cloud system users.
  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for staff in person, via phone/VoIP or from a remote location.
  • Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, software installation and configuration, word processing, electronic mail, operating systems and Moodle learning management system.
  • Educate employees of the usage and/or walk through the initial setup over the phone or in person.
  • Ensure that all technical aspects of IT systems are functioning optimally.
  • Required to report on various elements of the job on a regular basis to the manager and/or supervisor.

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Computer Science discipline
  • CompTIA A+ Tech, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) or similar certification required.

Financial Aid Officer

  • The Financial Aid Officer will perform the initial counseling of students (and parents) and the subsequent financial aid packaging of Federal Title IV funding for the student (and parent) to pay the cost of the student’s program of education.
  • This position reports directly to the Director of Student Finance & Financial Aid/VA SCO.

Minimum:

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience demonstrating the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the above duties.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Title IV student financial aid programs, policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Cal Grant program policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the RGM web-based FAM (Financial Aid Management) system.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft 365 software suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), data processing software and computer applications.
  • General and working knowledge of accounting practices, tax forms, regulations and the implications of such on financial aid packaging and eligibility.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
    • Possess a minimum of an Associate Degree. Years of experience and knowledge may be substituted for degree requirement.

DMS Instructor
