Here at Casa Loma College, we have a commitment to provide clarification/guidance to every student/borrower as to their rights and responsibilities concerning their federal student loans. Your Default Prevention Unit is on-site and available for questions, issues and concerns. At the very heart of this federal loan program is the premise that if there is any issue precluding you from making payments, you have rights to ask for some assistance. The following links may be helpful to you as you complete your course work with our campuses and eventually move to an in-repayment status on your loans: The National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) This is the U.S. Department of Education central database for student aid. You can review your federal loan and grant data via your FAFSA PIN at this site. Your respective loan servicer(s) will be displayed. Additionally, using your FAFSA PIN number, you can also accomplish federally required EXIT Loan Counseling. Federal Direct Consolidation Loan This is the single site to accomplish a federal loan consolidation of all FFEL/Direct Loans/Perkins Loans so that multiple servicers are eliminated, thus reducing the necessary administration requirements of your federal loans. Additionally, by extending the terms of the loans, smaller monthly minimum payments can be secured. You are encouraged to work directly with your Default Prevention Unit on this process.
